The Scottish brands leading the way in clean beauty

ishga, Beauty Kitchen and Beatitude continue to lead the way in clean beauty in Scotland after being named as finalists in this year’s 8th annual Beauty Shortlist Awards and first ever Beauty Shortlist Wellbeing Awards.

The three Scottish brands were in the running alongside top winners OSKIA, Madara, Weleda, Neal’s Yard Remedies, Ayuna, BetterYou, Bach Flower Remedies, Tisserand, REN, Evolve Organic Beauty, Omorovicza, Green People, Sukin and iSun.

ishga was Commended for its Uplifting Organic Body Spray, while Beatitude’s Joy Bath Oil (a finalist in the Best Bath Oil category) was, sadly, pipped at the post by Olverum Bath Oil.

Neal’s Yard Remedies was crowned Best Natural/Organic Brand UK and also picked up Best Zero Waste Beauty Product for its Wild Rose Balm, while Evolve Organic Beauty won Best Vegan Skincare Brand – UK, and REN Skincare, which has pledged to go “zero waste” by 2021, was honoured in the Best Night Balm category.

New health awards categories include Best Natural Health Brand (Weleda), Best CBD Product (HempTouch 5% full spectrum CBD Oil), Best Ayurveda Supplement (Samaya Ayurveda), Best Eco All-Purpose Cleaner (Sodasan), Best Detox Tea (Dr Jackson’s), Best Supplement for Cognitive Health (Neurella), Best Sleep Product (Therapie Roques-O’Neil) and Best Aromatherapy Product (Tisserand).

The Australian judging panel included cosmetics brand founder Holly Spierings, The Spot Beauty (Instagram) and beauty insider Sophie Hansen. Top Australian brand winners include Sukin Skincare, Hemp Foods Australia, Australian Bush Flower Essences, Eye of Horus, Sativa Hemp Skincare, Ocinium, Ena, Mokosh and Quite Frankly.
