A chartered physiotherapist is sharing her self-help breathing techniques online to help people recover from coronavirus.
Elizabeth Cordle, who plans to start a posture revolution with her new website Corefulness, is sharing her own isolation experience and recovery from Covid-19 symptoms in a series of four-minute YouTube videos in a bid to help others.
She says the breathing techniques covered in the videos are useful before during and after the virus to help maintain good lung ventilation, minimise secondary respiratory complications and ensure full rehabilitation.
“In the weeks ahead, I encourage people to be proactive,” says Elizabeth. “Keep your body moving, maintain good lung health and stay disciplined.”
Elizabeth has also added a number of strength-based exercises to the Corefulness website, where she offers professional advice on other techniques for maintaining good lung health and rehabilitation.
She says the website focuses awareness on how people can continue to help themselves during lockdown and help them physically recover from the virus.
