New from Holland & Barrett – free 15-minute online wellness consultations

Holland & Barrett (H&B) has launched free one-to-one online video consultations for anyone looking for natural health advice

Now available through the H&B website are 15-minute Online Wellness Consultations with the company’s qualified health and wellness advisors, who can offer impartial advice on many things, from immunity to weight management.

The service provides customers with access to H&B’s experts from 8am until 8pm, seven days a week.

Results from the pilot suggest the most popular topics people want H&B’s advice on are hair, skin and nail health, as well as general nutrition.

“We have an exciting opportunity to expand the reach of H&B by moving beyond just offering wellness products and advice, to offering personalised services, diagnostics, and wellness solutions across our digital and retail channels,” says the company’s group retail & property director Anthony Houghton.

Bringing the advice our nutritionists and colleagues are known and trusted for to our customers at home or wherever they feel comfortable is really important to us.

“We know how much it can help having a friendly face to chat to and, with the launch of our online consultations, we will be bringing the best of the in-store H&B shopping experience to our customers however and wherever they want to shop with us

“Our brilliant colleagues take part in a training programme through the H&B Training Academy that results in them attaining a nationally recognised RCF qualification, which is the equivalent to an A-Level.

“The training programme, which celebrates its 10th year in 2022, is set up to make sure our customers have access to clear, concise and up-to-date information to help them confidently understand the lifestyle change they could consider and help choose the right food and supplements for them.

“We think this service will really help our customers in the New Year when they’re considering their new year resolutions.”

Customers can speak to qualified advisors on a range of health concerns including immunity, weight management, general nutrition, activity and flexibility, sleep, stress and anxiety, and joint and bone, heart, hair, skin and nail, brain and eye, gut, and women’s health.

Advisors will work with customers to discuss their needs and, if required, build a basket of recommended products throughout their chat.

The customer will then be sent their recommendations once the consultation has finished, with the option to buy the products online if they wish.
